Preview of “The Secret Lapsus” Exhibition at UFO Art Gallery

Agnieszka Szostek is an artist who has spent a significant part of her creative journey in Germany, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. The title “The Secret Lapsus” invites multiple interpretations - a secret fall, passing away, but also a stumble or slip. The question remains: a slip in relation to what? Ourselves? Our surroundings? A lapsus is also an unconscious impulse, an echo of what is repressed and buried deep within us. Szostek’s work continually explores endings that are persistent and inevitable, but often viewed with irony. Her pieces respond to reality by consciously embracing what is unrefined, rejected, or seemingly worthless. It is precisely this choice that reveals a world full of tensions, contradictions, and absurdities when confronted through her art.
