“e4–c5” Exhibition at Piana Gallery

The starting point for Juliusz Kosin’s works is a series of historic chess games, which the artist translates into the language of geometric abstraction. The resulting paintings tell a story of history, political tensions, technological development and decisions that, much like moves in a game of chess, can change the course of events.
